'40 Horsepower'
A genuine 1920's French humorous hand painted water colour painting, mounted in its original wooden frame. The writing reads - De l'influence dune 40 cv sure la vert dune midinette! Et dire quail a demux moos ell etait petite main!!! (How the influence of 40 horse power can transform a shop girl in 2 months). The frame measures 17 inches by 11.25 (43cm x 28.5cm). Condition is good with some expected age related marks to the edges of the frame. I have another similar picture to this one from the same artist. See picture of Art2112A below.

'Bad Conduct'
A genuine 1920's French humorous hand painted water colour painting, mounted in its original wooden frame. The writing reads - Mauvaisem Conduuite!! j'ai encore du me tromper et appuyer sur l'acceleratuer au lieu de frein!! (I made a mistake and put my foot on the accelerator instead of the break!!). The frame measures 17 inches by 11.25 (43cm x 28.5cm). Condition is good with some expected age related marks to the edges of the frame. French Sporting Water Colour
Fabulous original 1920's male shot putter water colour painting. Marked to the back Jean Prevost - and signed indistinctly. In its original wooden frame that measures 21 inches by 17 (53cm x 43). Condition is very good.

Bronze Dancer by Lorenzl
Stylish and dramatic cold painted silver bronze figure of a beautiful lady running in period dress with fine detail and colour. Signed to the bronze socle edge and raised on a Brazilian green onyx base. Made in the early 1930's in Austria, having a total height of 9 inches (23cm) including the base. In good condition.
Similar pieces can be found in the Catley Book and in the Victor Arwas book of Art Deco Sculpture.

The Sun Dancer by Lormier
Huge bronze dancing lady with original green patination to her scarf, mounted a Belgian black marble base with green onyx sun rays and sienna marble sun detailing. Signed J. Lormier to the back of her scarf. The base measures 25 inches long by 5 deep and the total height is 19 inches (64cm x 12.5 x 48.5). In very good vintage condition with no damage or repairs. A really stunning piece.

Bronze Diane by Gual
French bronze Diane the huntress, hunting scene. A semi flat 2 dimensional statue, typical of Gual style, stamped bronze and Gual to the back of her sash. Mounted on a buff coloured marble ovular base. It measures approx. 19.5 inches long (50cm) by 5 inches deep (12.5cm) 10 inches high (25.5cm). Condition is vintage and used but good with just a few minor age related marks to the patina.

Huge Bronze Archer by Davergne
Green patinated huge bronze Diane with bow. Signed G. Davergne to the end of the base and marked to the back Editions Reveyrolis Paris. Base is of stepped portorro marble with canted front conner detail. It measures 25 inches long to the base by 27 high (63cm x 69), a very large lady indeed! In excellent condition with just a few minor edge nibbles to the marble.

Unusual Bronze Bookends by Morante
Dachshund dogs in silvered bronze, both mounted on a verdigris marble base. You can lift each dog to a standing position and slot books in between them. The rock below the dogs legs is signed Morante and bears the Brevette patent mark. The base measures 12 inches long by 4 deep by 6.5 high (31cm x 10 x 16.5) when the dogs are in a standing position. In good vintage used condition.
