
Lady & Deer by Demetre Chiparus
A large French spelter group by the very famous Demetre Chiparus. The lady has a green patina with bronze dress colouring and is kneeling on a Belgian Black marble base that measures 29.5 inches long, the height is 16.5 and depth is 5 inches (75cm x 42 x 13). It is signed D. H. Chiparus to the right hand end of the base. The condition is very good with some slight ageing and paint loss to the baby deer and minor edge nibbles to the marble. Demetre Chiparus was born in Romania on 16th Sept 1886, he later studied, worked and lived in Paris. He studied under A. Mercier and J. Boucher. He exhibited at the Salon in 1914. He is the most famous of the deco artists and is considered the pioneer of the Art Deco Chryselephantine bronzes technique used during the 1920s and 30s. He made pieces in many mediums including bronze, bronze and ivory (Chryselephantine) spelter, terracotta and plaster.

Spelter Group by Chiparus
A French spelter piece by Demetre Chiparus, and mounted on a black marble base with verdigris veneer to the front panel and cream onyx central detail, and measuring 23.5 inches long, 5 inches deep and height is 10.5 inches (60 x 13 x 27cm). The pretty lady is wearing the typical Chiparus beaded cloche hat and shoes. Condition is very good with some re-patination to the lady.

Diana Hunting Group
An unusual hunting scene of Diana the Huntress on her horse hunting a deer. She is made of spelter and sits on a portorro and sienna marble base with geometric supports for the figures. Measures 24.5 inches long, 6 inches deep and 13 inches high. Condition is very good with no apparent damage, but some slight patina wear due to age.

Dancer by Menneville
A green patinated spelter lady measuring nearly 20 inches high (52cm), and mounted on a Belgian Black marble ovular base that measures 9.5 x 6 inches (24x15cm). This is an unusual signed Menneville piece as it is a full metal figure without ivorene. Condition is very good.

Venice by Sega
French spelter figural group of a gondola with the windows having pearlised celluloid panels which light up by the internal bulb inside the cabin. The ovular base is of grey and cream onyx and it is signed P. Sega to the rear of the boat. Condition is very original and good. Measures 20 inches wide, 6 inches deep and 10.5 inches high.

Spelter Dancer by Maxim
French spelter lady dancer with a goat, mounted on a marble base measuring 21 x 7 inches (53x18cm) and signed Geo (George) Maxim. Total height is 12 inches (31cm). Condition is very good but she is not perfect as there is some ageing and wear to the patina. Email me for more pics.

The Well Lady by Uriano
French spelter lady collecting water from a well, by Uriano. She has a gold and silvered patina and is mounted on a black marble and onyx base that measures approx 18 inches long and the lady is approx 12 inches high. (46 x 30cm). Condition is good but she has had some repatination work and there is some minor chips etc to the marble.

Lady & Deer by Scali
French spelter and ivorene deer group signed by Scali, and mounted on a cream and brown onyx base measuring 26.5 inches long by 7 inches deep (67x18cm), and 13.5 inches (34cm) high. Condition is very good but one leg of the large deer has a mark which may have been an old repair, hardly noticeable.
