Nymph & Deer by Morlon
This enormous bronze figure measures 32 inches long and 8 inches deep by 16 inches high and is the famous Nymph and Deer by A. Morlon, and is signed in the bronze and stamped with the medal of honour. It has an unusual washed silvered patina with a glimpse here and there of the bronze showing through. Condition is very good with no apparent repairs or damage but just the usual ageing to the patina and some veneer damage to the wood base at either end. Please email me for more pics.
Alexandre Morlon was born in 1878 in Macon, France and studied under Falguiere and Mercie and exhibited at the Salon in 1900. He specialised in allegorical figures and is famous for the standing figure of Victory used for the allied Victory Medal (1918), and modelled pieces used as coinage and war memorials. Examples of his work can be found in the Mint Museum, Paris and the Ghent Museum. Large Bronze Hoop Lady by Defiesol
Very pretty large bronze Hoop-Lady with a golden-bronze patina - an unsigned piece attributed to Defiasol. It is a large 21 inches high to the top of her hoop and she is mounted on a pyramid shaped green marble base. The condition is excellent and very original. Her hoop is a little loose but it is fixed permanantly in her top hand so it will not fall off and it is the original for the figure. Email me for more pics if required. Total Height is 21 inches. The base measures 5.5 inches high and 5 inches square to the bottom.

'Onne passe pas' by Guiraud-Riviere
An unusual bronze by the famous Guiraud-Riviere. It is titled to the base in the bronze 'Onne passe pas', and also bears the founders stamp 'Susse Freres, Paris', and is numbered. The handsome man is wearing what looks like a French army uniform from the 1st world war and has medals on the jacket. What does the inscription mean 'None shall pass' perhaps? leaving me to believe that perhaps this peice as a patriotic piece cast during the 1914-1918 war years? Condition is very good with just a little patina wear as you would expect and his thumb is a little bent, (email me for close-up pics). He measures 10 inches high and I believe is a very rare and unusual bronze, the like of which I have never seen before.

'Egyptian' Bronze by Lorenzl
A beautiful Egyptian bronze lady kneeling with a marble dish - presumably making offerings to the gods. She has a dark bronze patina and is mounted on an ovular marble base, and is signed in the bronze. She measures approx 9 inches (23cm) high and the marble dish is removeable and may possibly be a replacement. Excellent condition.

Bronze Panther by Chiparus
Wonderful French bronze panther - this is the panther from the large group called 'The Hunt', which is viewable in the Chiparus book, page 59. He is mounted on a black and white striated marble base and signed to the marble. Condition is very good but the base has been broken across one end and appears to have been professionally repaired. Base measures nearly 20 inches long and 6.5 inches wide and total height is 8 inches (50x16x20cm).

Bronze Dancer
French, green patinated bronze dancer, unsigned but I believe by Melani. Measures 12.5 inches high including the stepped black and sienna marble base.

Contemplation by Alliot
Quality green patinated bronze nude signed L. Alliot to the Belgian Black marble base. Condition is excellent with just a couple of tiny edge nicks to the marble. Base measures 16.25 inches by 5.5 inches (41x14cm) and height is 10.5 inches (27cm).
